Intervention for the Development of Narrative Skills

Semantics is the study of the meaning of words and sentences - many students have difficulties understanding both the meaning of words and how relate to sentence. This webinar, presented by Helen Driver, teaches strategies to improve the child’s understanding of what they have read.
The importance of linking spoken grammar to written grammar is outlined and linked to how it can guide a child to understand what they have been reading.
This webinar will focus on the importance of semantics and share practical advice for supporting primary age students (and secondary age students with SEND achieving at primary level) with written narratives.
