Parent Workshop: Improving your child’s reading comprehension

This webinar is being offered to enable a parent to work with their own children at home to help the child improve their reading and reading comprehension.

10% of children in primary schools have a problem understanding what they read (Hulme and Snowling, 2009). By putting into place effective strategies, we can help children with their reading comprehension.

This hour-long webinar will focus on reading for meaning and will demonstrate a range of strategies that parents can use to improve their child’s:

listening skills
reading fluency
reading accuracy
reading comprehension
