Neurodiversity MALS (myself as a learner scale)

Neurodiversity

Bob Burden - University of Exeter had worked on Motivation and devised this resource: The MALS - Myself-As-a-Learner Scale. The premise is: Ability alone is not enough: How we think about ourselves matters too. In Bob Burden’s research regarding achievement and the role of self-esteem he wrote:

‘countless research studies have shown that, whilst undoubtedly a significant factor in contributing to academic success, measured IQ contributes no more than 40% to the final outcome…..most psychologists now agree that, when it comes to individual learning, motivation is the key.’
