Technology can be an effective and successful aid for digital natives and especially so for neurodivergent learners. This lecture will explore different ways to incorporate technology, highlighting specific benefits when tasked with teaching phonics, a constrained skill.
Most children are digital natives however some teachers might feel overwhelmed or lack confidence in using ipads and other digital devices. Technology provides a platform for customised learning experiences, catering to each student's unique strengths and weaknesses. Students can access tailored content that suits their learning style and pace when using technology in ways not possible via direct instruction from a teacher.
