Venn diagrams and Icebergs: How to negotiate the A to Z of SEND

It has been argued that all Learning Differences have similar but different features. In this webinar, presented by Fintan O'Regan, we will address the core issues and gain an understanding of how the difference can be effectively used to provide effective support for learners. There is an A to Z of labels or terms with SEND and there are 9 under the A, we haven’t even got to the Bs yet. We will debate the use or misuse of labels such EBD, SEMH. AGT, DME, ASC, PDA, ADHD SPD etc.. And outline that how some terms come and go the overlapping traits are real and whatever the term we need to crucially understand that whatever you call what is the real need that lies beneath the label or the term being used.
