Metacognition is a key study skills strategy. This course discusses metacognition and how it can be used to improve study skills. The course aims to define metacognition and how it can be used to enhance learning and academic performance. Critical thinking and critical thinking strategies are also discussed. More specific applications of metacognition are reviewed in relation to literacy, assignment planning and organisation. Strategies target study skills for learners with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism.
