Course Description: (maximum 750 characters including spaces, if the ‘Full’ description above can be used, please state that). The aim of this presentation is to look at ways to help your students in higher and post 16 education with grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Grammar, spelling and punctuation are topics that many find difficult but there are some basic, easy to learn rules that can help transform your students’ writing. The presentation will discuss the following fundamental aspects of grammar:
* parts of a sentence
* subject-verb agreement
* the eight parts of speech
* use of tense
Spelling can be extremely difficult for dyslexic students, especially due to the opacity of the English language.
