Identifying Dyslexia in Learners at Pre-16 who have Complex Needs

This course is aimed at practising assessors who assess in the pre-16 age group or those working with adults who wish to further their knowledge of assessing in this age group. The course will broaden knowledge and understanding by considering a range of neurodiverse needs, incidence and effects of co-occurrence and how to identify dyslexia in this group of learners.
This course will explore a range of neurodiverse needs and explore how learners are impacted by those needs. It will consider co-occurrence with dyslexia and how this presents in terms of strengths and difficulties. There will be an overview of tests that benefit and challenge learners with complex needs and how testing needs to be adapted, whilst still following guidance.
