Four Decades of Collaboration and Co-operation in the Theory and Practice of ‘Dyslexia’: a Conversation to Guide Practitioners - Professor Maggie Snowling and Dr Valerie Muter

Dr Valerie Muter and Prof Maggie Snowling first met in the 1970s at Dyslexia Institute. They outline the expertise each brought to this meeting as a foundation for their subsequent collaboration in research and practice to the present day. They highlight changes in the concept of dyslexia and how it can no longer be considered the discrete specific disorder that they once thought. Their aim is to highlight for professionals and practitioners how engaging with theory leads to progress in practice.
