Applying Counselling Skills to post-16 Learners

One in four HE students have significant mental health issues, this increases to 40% if the learner has a Learning Difference (Robinson 2016). This course will explore applying counselling skills in a post -16 learning Environment

Denis Lawrence since the 1970’s has demonstrated that integrating counselling strategies improves learners from a neurodiverse background educational performance, as learning is an emotional experience. Counselling strategies will be explained and demonstrated and how these can enable learners to effectively support their learning.
